Getting Started

Welcome to Altasko

Altasko is a simple project management platform built to help freelancers, startups, and small businesses organize their work and collaborate without unnecessary complexity.

Quick Start

Getting started with Altasko only takes a few steps. Create your workspace, invite your team, and create your first project.

1

Create your workspace

Your workspace is where your team, projects, tasks, and collaboration come together.

2

Invite your team

Add the people you work with to your workspace. Team members can then be assigned to projects and tasks.

3

Create your first project

Create a project for the work you want to organize, set its priority and status, and assign team members.

Creating a Workspace

Your workspace is the central place where your team, projects, tasks, and collaboration come together.

Creating Projects

Projects give your team a dedicated place to organize related tasks and track progress.

To create a project

  1. Open your workspace dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Select the option to create a new project.
  4. Enter a name and description for the project.
  5. Set the project's priority and status.
  6. Assign the relevant team members.
  7. Create the project.

Managing Projects

Manage project details, status, priority, members, and related tasks from your project workspace.

Project Members

Assign workspace members to projects based on the work they are responsible for.

Creating Tasks

Create tasks within projects, assign team members, set priorities, and track their progress.

Task Status

Use task statuses to show where work currently stands and keep your team aligned.

Priorities

Set priorities on projects and tasks to help your team understand which work needs attention first.

Offline mode & synchronization

Altasko automatically synchronizes changes with the server when an internet connection is available.

If a change cannot be sent to the server, Altasko stores the change locally and retries synchronization when connectivity is restored. Pending changes remain queued even if you close or restart the application.

Offline mode limitations

Offline mode is designed as a fallback for temporary connectivity problems, not as a full replacement for working online.

Changes made while offline may be synchronized after another team member has already changed the same project or task. In some cases, an offline change may overwrite a change made by another team member.

Example

  • You edit a task while offline.
  • Another team member changes the same task while online.
  • You reconnect and Altasko synchronizes your offline change.
  • Your change may replace the other member's change.

For this reason, reconnect when possible and allow pending changes to synchronize before making a large number of offline edits.
